father / daughter dance

Dads and daughters came out for a special afternoon they are sure to remember!

The Roseau Women of Today held a Father/Daughter Prom in May which turned out to be a huge success!  Dads were invited to bring their daughter or daughters to the event which included hors d’oeuvres, desserts, punch, and music.  Corsages were available for Dads to purchase, while daughters were able to pick out a free boutonniere for their fathers.  Many fathers also chose to have a keepsake photo of them with their daughters to remember this special afternoon by.  We had approximately 150 guests were in attendance.

One of those lucky guests won a mini-pendant diamond necklace, the grand prize - sponsored in part by Kerri B. & Co.while numerous other prizes were donated by Aunt B’s, Book Your Look Salon, Dairy Queen, From Head to Toe Salon, Roso Theatre and Subway.  Music was provided by Wild 102 FM, whereas Doug’s Supermarket helped with the hors d’oeuvres.  We would like to thank these many local businesses for making this event possible, as well as the City of Roseau and the Roseau Public Library for making their facilities available, and the Roseau High School Junior class for the use of their decorations.

With the impressive interest in Roseau's first Father/Daughter Prom, and seeing such a wonderful turnout, we would love to make it happen again next year!   Proceeds from this event will go towards future family and community events put on by the Roseau Women of Today organization.
